It can be difficult to raise our children on the values and morals that we want. There are exterior influences everywhere they go. They spend many hours a day in an educational setting, with teachers who may have different beliefs. Finally, they spend many hours watching TV, while you are unable to control just who they follow and idolize on TV. Understand them Many parents are worried about becoming too much of a friend with their teenager. A parent that is viewed as a friend can be harder to discipline or take seriously. Engage in entertainment with them You can better understand your teenager?s idols and preferences by engaging in their choice of entertainment with them. You will find that you have an influence on the specific people they follow. Attempt to introduce them to celebrity news channels and gossip sites that portray positive role models.

This is a great way to gain their trust and to educate them about positive role models, such as Will Smith. Will Smith is one of the film industry?s most highly paid actors, nearly all of his films have grossed over $100 million. He may not be a popular current celebrity news figure with today?s children, but introducing his movies to your teens can be helpful.
Attend and listen to concerts with them One of the most controversial celebrity topics seems to be today?s music. Rap music is very different today than what it once was. Latest Hollywood gossip sites and music tends to include a lot of crime and violence. Accept your teen?s music choice, discussing the meaning of it.
